Cookie Policy

Arcadia Group sets no cookies. Not one, of any kind, for any purpose. This page explains what that means in practice and why you will not see a consent banner here.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small piece of text a website asks your browser to store and hand back on later visits, which is how sites recognise a returning visitor or remember a choice. Cookies can be set by the site you are visiting or by other companies whose code runs on its pages, and the second kind is what makes tracking across different websites possible.

This site sets none

Arcadia Group does not set cookies of its own, and it allows no third party to set one through its pages. Specifically, there is no analytics service, no advertising cookie, no conversion or tracking pixel, no social media embed, no video embed, no comment platform, no chat widget, no A/B testing tool, no consent management platform and no session identifier. No script from any other company runs on any page of this site.

That is the whole of it. This page lists no cookie names because there are none to list, and a policy naming cookies a site does not set would be misleading rather than thorough.

Why there is no consent banner

Consent banners exist to obtain permission before non-essential cookies are placed. Since nothing is placed, there is nothing to consent to and no banner appears. A banner on a site that sets no cookies would be an inaccurate statement about what the site does, and it would ask you to make a decision that has no subject.

What happens instead

Two things happen when you read a page here, both ordinary and neither involving your browser storing anything.

• Your request reaches our server, which records it in a standard log: your IP address, the page requested, the time, the browser user agent string and the response code. This is how web servers work; it is not a cookie, and it does not follow you to other sites. These logs are kept for no longer than 90 days and are described in section 2 of our privacy policy.
• Your browser loads the page, one stylesheet and one small script, all served from this same domain. No font, image, script or stylesheet is fetched from any external host, so reading this site does not cause your browser to contact another company's servers at all.

No local storage, and no fingerprinting

The site does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB or any other browser storage mechanism. Nothing is written to your device and nothing is read from it. The only JavaScript on the site is a short first-party file that opens and closes the navigation menu; it is readable in full at /assets/main.js if you would like to check.

We do not attempt browser fingerprinting — the practice of identifying a visitor by combining characteristics such as screen size, installed fonts, time zone and hardware details. There is no code here that collects any of those.

Managing cookies in your browser anyway

Nothing on this site requires any action from you, but you may wish to control cookies generally as you browse. Every major browser lets you view and delete stored cookies, block third-party cookies, block all cookies for particular sites, and clear browsing data on exit. These controls sit in the privacy or site settings section of the browser's preferences, and the browser's own help pages document them for the version you are running. Blocking cookies entirely will affect sites that rely on them for signing in; it will have no effect at all on this one.

If this ever changes

Should Arcadia Group ever introduce a cookie or any similar technology, this page will be rewritten to describe exactly what is set, by whom, for what purpose and for how long, and a working consent mechanism will be in place before the first cookie is placed — not added afterwards. The effective date at the top of this page will change on the same day.
